On Wednesday March 6th, from 6 pm – 7:30 pm, the Center for Primary Care invites you to learn from one of the most renowned health systems in the world, Southcentral Foundation.
In April 2012, President Obama gave Southcentral Foundation, a health system in Anchorage Alaska run by and for Alaskan natives, the coveted Malcolm Baldridge Quality award for achieving breakthrough results in dramatically improved individual and community health. The results were achieved while slashing healthcare costs through its customer and community-driven, relationship-based transformation of primary care.
The U.S. Congress created the Baldridge Performance Excellence Program and the award in 1987 to identify and recognize the country’s most innovative organizations in any field.
In this evening presentation, CEO of Southcentral, Katharine Gottlieb and CMO, Doug Eby, will share their journey, and the "how" behind their inspiring results. The event will take place at the Tosteson Medical Education Center Amphitheatre at HMS followed by a reception in the Tosteson Medical Education Center Atrium from 7:30 – 8:30 pm.
