Patricia A. Reidy, DNP, FNP-BC, FNAP, FAAN

Patricia A. Reidy is Professor and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs in the School of Nursing at the MGH Institute of Health Professions. She was named a Distinguished Fellow and Practitioner in the National Academies of Practice and inducted as a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing in 2020.  

Dr. Reidy has lead initiatives promoting innovative interprofessional clinical practice models, curriculum development, and academic-clinical partnerships to prepare advanced practice nurses in collaborative practice. As Principal Investigator she received $2.3 million dollars in grant funding from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Advanced Nursing Education Workforce to implement team-based care for persons living with multiple chronic conditions and support interprofessional practice learning at a student-faculty practice providing primary care with underserved populations. This model has been widely disseminated and received the prestigious Public Health Excellence in Interprofessional Collaboration Award by the US Public Health Service and Interprofessional Education Collaborative.  She has served as a catalyst for faculty regionally and nationally to adopt new academic interprofessional models; to infuse new curriculum content and experiences for advanced practice nurses caring for vulnerable populations and promote health equity.  

Dr. Reidy is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with extensive clinical, managerial, and teaching experience in community health centers who maintains a clinical practice at the Family Health Center of Worcester.  

She received her nursing diploma from the Fall River School of Nursing, BSN from Fitchburg State College, MS from the University of Lowell and DNP from the University of Massachusetts: Amherst.
